The approach

I photograph people and places the way they actually feel. Quiet, honest, alive.

Photography has been the constant since I was eighteen, the thread running through every chapter of my life while I built other crafts alongside it. From a lantern-lit alley in Yokohama to a feria at golden hour in Málaga, the goal never changes: a frame worth keeping.

Nick Toorn

I have photographed professionally since I was eighteen. It has always been the red thread of my life, the one craft I kept returning to while other work ran alongside it, including years in professional kitchens up to a Michelin-starred restaurant in Amsterdam. That discipline sharpened my eye for composition, patience and reading a moment before it happens.

Now based on the Costa del Sol, I photograph people, places, property and stories, from intimate portraits to lantern-lit streets and aerial views of the coast. A licensed drone operator and filmmaker, I work in light, shadow and the people in between.
